Critical Incident?
Some days ago my tutor contacted me so that we could meet in the university. She wrote me a text message on my cell so that we meet in front of the cafeteria at noon. We were chatting about this and that while having lunch when she suddenly said, "at half past one we can go upstairs to see your advisor". What? I have a meeting today? Apparently I had an appointment with my advisor (a university professor who is your contact person in case of questions), which my tutor had made without telling me. I was supposed to hand in a form with my chosen courses, which he had to sign. Luckily I had it with me, but it was just a coincidence that the form was in my bag and I did not know for 100% which courses I wanted to take. The surprising thing to me was that she seemed to be surprised that I did not know about the appointment and the form. But how could I? I was a little bit angry that I was to go to my advisor unprepared and that I would not have had my form with me, if I had not been so lazy to clean up my bag. I did not show my anger, I am still confused. So was it my own fault that I did not guess from the context or hers that she did not tell me? I still do not know how I could have known from the context that I had that appointment.
