Coffee

I'm used to drinking coffee in the university in Paderborn. It makes me feel better especially when a boring class has wiped me out or when one is going to take place. I love walking to the Caféteria and seeing the steaming, rich stream of liquid goodness pouring into my cup. And then I press the white milk button as long as I can to get a good amount of milk. I love watching the milk turning the coffee into a creamy light colour, creating a spiral milky movement... a cloud of delicously hot coffee...

Our Japanese language course is not what you would exactly describe as entertainment so today I was in desperate need of some nice hot latte! I asked my Japanese tutor where I could buy some coffee, so she showed this to me:

It is some kind of a warm refrigerator, which keeps the coffee in cans warm. I thought she misunderstood me. But it I actually the only possibility on campus to get "hot coffee". Alone holding the can in my hand did not turn my hand warm, but it turned the drink cold. I tried it anyways as I was desperate. It tastes extremely sweet and not like good coffee... How am I to survive my language courses?!

No coffee on campus, but machines in the cafeteria where you can get free green tea. Crazy Japanese world... ^^
