4th day in Oita - Light at the end of the tunnel

Tonight gave me a first glimpse of hope for my stay in Japan. I was so frustrated the first days in Oita, but tonight I had the (as I like to call it) “Erasmus feeling” for the first time. (If you have never been abroad as an exchange student, please watch “Auberge Espagnole” – it captures this special feeling of excitement, togetherness, freedom, etc. that many exchange students feel!)
We went out for the first time! We found a Mexican Bar, which was pretty cosy. We got to know the other exchange students who live in the Kaikan (our dorm). They come from the U.S., South Korea, Finland, and the Netherlands. I really cannot exactly describe this Erasmus feeling, but those who know it, will see that we had fun ^_^

The beer was pretty expensive though. 600 Yen for one bottle… The cocktails also cost 600 Yen. We played a Korean game called “catch the mouse”. It is supposed to be a drinking game, but at these prices we did it with Tabasco. Haha, I lost one time and had burning lips for ten minutes.
